Kavin Hoo has been playing piano since he was five years old. He obtained his Performance's Certificate from Trinity College of Music, London at a tender age of 15. Although classically trained as a pianist, Kavin also like other genres of music including jazz, pop & new age. He travelled to Berklee college of Music to further his music studies, and graduated with top honors in 1998. Soon after that, Kavin began producing new age piano albums for Compass Productions. He released his first solo piano album under Compass in 1999. First time listeners were amazed at the intricate melodies of his compositions. His style of piano-playing is honest and sincere while his melodies is often described as haunting & mesmerizing. To date, Kavin has sold more than 500,000 copies of his new age albums through Compass Productions.
